On May 1, the course “Hybrid conflicts as a threat to security systems” was launched at the Ostroh Academy National University within the framework of Jean Monet’s project “Civil Society in the Conflict Resolution Process: EU Experience for Ukraine”.
Introductory lectures on the topic “Hybrid conflicts as a threat to security systems”, as well as “Modern studies of hybrid conflicts: EU experience for Ukraine” were held by Dmytro Shevchuk, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of the National Academy of Sciences.
During the lectures, the speaker talked about concepts and examples of hybrid threats, the prerequisites for their occurrence, as well as models, theories, and concepts of hybrid wars.
Olena Shershnova, the project coordinator, PhD in public administration, and senior lecturer at Journalism and PR Management Department noted:
“The course “Hybrid conflicts as a threat to security systems” is undoubtedly important for students of higher education. We live in a dynamic world, where it is necessary to clearly and quickly distinguish and distinguish the information that is around us. Within the course, it will be possible to learn about the history and modern research of hybrid conflicts, as well as the EU’s experience in building a system for countering hybrid threats. All this will be useful both for understanding the current realities in Ukraine and for the future.”
