Rector’s Assistant for International Cooperation and Fundraising Eduard Balashov took part in the conference “35 Years of Jean Monnet Program Activities”

On October 9-10, Eduard Balashov, Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Rector’s Assistant for International Cooperation and Fundraising at NAU, took part in the anniversary conference “35 Years of the Jean Monnet Program,” which was held in Brussels (Belgium).

Among the conference participants were representatives of Jean Monnet Centers of Excellence, schools, higher education institutions, young researchers in the field of European studies, and others.

“Ostroh Academy is an active participant in the Jean Monnet Erasmus+ program, implementing 5 modules and creating a Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at the university! This high indicator demonstrates the strength of our higher education institution in studying European integration processes, spreading the ideas of a united Europe, researching Ukraine’s European integration processes, and studying the EU’s experience for its adaptation in Ukraine. Participation in the conference allowed me, as a representative of the Ostroh Academy, to present our institution’s achievements in researching European integration and implementing international projects, as well as to establish new partnerships with representatives of European higher education institutions in order to create new opportunities for students and academic staff of the university,”

said Eduard Balashov.

Participants in the event had the opportunity to exchange experiences on EU issues, build long-term cooperation with scientists from around the world, and will resume the activities of Jean Monnet communities.

Incidentally, the Jean Monnet program is one of the European Union’s educational programs. Its goal is to increase knowledge about the European Union and the principles of European integration. The program encourages the teaching of courses in European studies, conducting research, and establishing intercultural dialogue.
